Class of 1960 Celebrates 50th Anniversary
On the weekend of April 10-11, several members of Devon Prep’s Class of 1960 gathered for their 50th Reunion. The weekend’s activities included a cocktail reception at the home of one of the class members, dinner at a local restaurant, Mass in Devon’s chapel and brunch at another local restaurant.

Devon Prep Chaplain and Faculty Member Fr. Richard Wyzykiewicz’61, President of the Alumni Association, Barry Mulhern ’72, and Director of Alumni Relations, Matt Simon, joined the members of the Class of 1960 for the cocktail reception on Saturday afternoon.
Dick May acted as Master of Ceremonies as he asked each of his classmates to offer a memory or two of his time at Devon in the late fifties. Among others, Father Senye and Father Magyar were included in most of the recollections, and it was noted that all their schooling took place in Calasanctius Hall. Barry Mulhern briefly addressed the group and suggested that they take some time on Sunday to tour the “newer” facilities, which for the Class of 1960 included both the main upper school building and St. Anthony Hall.
On Saturday evening the reunion moved to the General Warren Inn in Malvern for dinner. The weekend ended with Mass on Sunday morning in Devon Prep’s St. Mary’s Chapel celebrated by Fr. Richard. Headmaster Fr. James Shea had the opportunity to visit with the alumni after Mass on Sunday before they moved on to Pattymac’s in Berwyn for brunch.
