Nowak Brothers Address Class of 2012
Brothers (and Devon Prep alumni) Eric ’83 and Jeff ’85 Nowak spoke to the Class of 2012 yesterday. They each discussed their college choices and career paths since graduating from Devon Prep. Eric iattended the University of Virginia where he studied applied mathematics and later focused on computer science. After taking a risk with a start-up company in the nineties, Eric earned a substantial return on his risk which put him on the path to financial and career success. He now manages nearly a billion dollars of business for CenturyLink.
After graduating from Devon Prep Jeff Nowak was drawn to Penn State University where he studied Criminal Justice. He had always wanted to become a police officer and has pursued a law enforcement career since his graduation from Penn State in 1989. Jeff is now a Sergeant with the Whitemarsh Township Police Force. Among other numerous administrative duties he is a firearms instructor for the force, and during almost 20 years of service for the township, Jeff has received a number of accolades for his performance.
